St Helen's Fort Walk.

Once a year on the lowest tide, 1000's of people leave two points around Bembridge on the Isle of Wight to walk the 3/4 of a mile across The Solent to St Helens Fort. The unofficial event has happened every year since the late 1800's. The Victorians carried tables, chairs food and champagne and dressed in formal evening wear for the crossing and short party.

Today the sea and beaches still resembles an amazing biblical scene as more than a 1000 people are drawn to the St Helens to make the crossing.
